Carol is a former Head of Service in Cambridgeshire County Council who lead a suite of traded services in the Education Directorate including the Education ICT Service, Personal, Social, Health and Education (PSHE) Service, three Outdoor Centres, PE & Outdoor Education Advisory Services, Duke of Edinburgh scheme and Professional CPD Centres and now works as an Independent Education Consultant. Carol has held a range of roles in Education, from Assistant Headteacher, Deputy Head of an Outdoor Centre, to County Adviser for Physical Education and Manager of the Cambridgeshire Advisory Service.

Carol has helped shape Physical Education and School Sport in Cambridgeshire, supporting schools and staff to deliver high quality PE and been a member of or led various groups in Cambridgeshire such as the County PE Strategy Group and County Health and Obesity Strategy Group. She also edited and wrote much of the widely used Cambridgeshire Scheme of Work for PE.

Carol continues to support schools with PE CPD, HR investigations, teaches on the Primary PE PGCE course at Cambridge University, is an Association of Physical Education National Consultant and is an Independent Panel Chair for the NHS. Carol has had a passion for sport and physical activity all her life having played hockey, been club captain and team captains, she now spends her spare time cycling and growing food.
