Cambridgeshire & Peterborough School Games

The mission of the School Games is keeping competitive sport at the heart of schools and providing more young people with the opportunity to compete and achieve their personal best. The vision is that by 2020 the School Games will be continuing to make a clear and meaningful difference to the lives of even more children and young people. The School Games are designed to motivate and enthuse all young people, in years 3 to 13 of all abilities and backgrounds.

The School Games County Finals in Cambridgeshire & Peterborough are led by a Local Organising Committee (LOC), made up of representatives from across the county. The Games are supported by five School Games Organisers (SGOs) from districts across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. The SGO areas are: Cambridge, Huntingdonshire, Peterborough, South Cambridgeshire and Witchford.

To qualify for the County Finals, schools must enter their District rounds and should contact their local School Games Organiser:

Cambridge (for Spring Term 2022): Claire McDonnell

Hunts: Doug Finlayson

Peterborough: Sam Sly

South Cambridgeshire: Claire McDonnell

Witchford: Helen Scotto Di Marrazzo

To find out more about the School Games, please contact David Welch, Children and Young People Manager, Schools and Education.
